In Q4 home prices continued to go UP, while the number of sales went DOWN.

The data for this report is for: Single Family Homes – in Barnstable County – listed on Cape Cod and Islands MLS. The median sold price in Q4 was $773 thousand dollars. This is another new all-time HIGH .

Quarter-to-Quarter, the median sold price was UP 3. 0 % from the $750 K in Q3 . More importantly, Year-to-Year, the median sold price was UP 12 .8 % from the $ 685 K in Q4 last year.

The number of single-family homes sold in Barnstable County in Q4 was 688 . This is the lowest number of Q4 sales since the 647 sales in Q4 200 8 .

Quarter - to - Quarter, Q4 Sales were Down 8.3 % from the 750 sales in Q3. Year - to - Year, sales were Down 11.1 % – from the 774 sales in Q4 last year.

Dollar Volume – Q4 2023

The Dollar Volume for single family homes sold in Barnstable County in Q4 was $719 Million Dolars.

Quarter - to - Quarter, the Dollar Volume was DOWN 9.3 % from the 793 M in Q3. Year - to - Year, the Dollar Volume was DOWN 3 % from the 741 M in Q4 last year.
